My Review of Night at Chapman
Spring of 2024, I was outside trying to disarm a bathbomb when everything got dark. I looked up and saw that the sun was missing like that book Gone Girl but instead of the girl, it’s the sun. Or like that movie Gone Girl but instead of the girl, it’s the sun. I was freaking out. It looked like something was eclipsing the sun.
Jump to a week ago and I’m now a Junior at Chapman. I stayed up past my bedtime of 6pm for the first time to watch the Ted Serandos masterclass because I needed to ask him what my Netflix password was. By the end of the masterclass, I went outside and it was the same phenomenon: the sun disappeared and everything was dark. My friends explained to me that this was “nighttime”, and it happens EVERYday.
Night is similar to day, same places, same people, but it’s way darker and colder. I’ll be honest, night is scarier than day because you can’t see as much so there could be monsters near you and you wouldn’t even know (like Mr. Shadows). That's why I wave around a gun at night. So if you ever see a seven foot three guy waving a gun around the piazza at night, that’s me and you shouldn’t worry or tell anyone. Also, if you’re not a fan of night, don’t worry. Just wait ten hours and it will be day again!
I give night a solid B+. Goodnight!
